How to use my domain name with Shopify?

There are two steps to use your Shopify account with your Moreweb domain name.

Step 1: In your Moreweb account:

1. Log in to your Moreweb account.
2. Go to DOMAIN NAMES > ACTIVE.
3. Hover over the domain and click on MANAGE.
4. Click on MANAGE ZONE on the left side.
5. Click on NEW RECORD in the panel below and select CNAME (Canonical Name) under Type.
6. Enter "www" into the Host field and
7. enter "shops.myshopify.com." into the Canonical Name field. Please make sure to include the dot at the end.
8. Leave TTL at 1h and click SAVE RECORD.
9. Click again on NEW RECORD in the panel below and select A (IPv4 Address) under Type.
10. Enter "@" into the Host field and
11. enter "23.227.38.65" into the IPV4 field.
12. Leave TTL and Dynamic DNS fields unchanged and click SAVE RECORD.
13. Click SAVE ZONE. The first step is now complete.

Step 2: In your Shopfiy account:

1. Log in to your Shopify account.
2. Click Settings in the bottom left corner.
3. Click on Domains in the menu on the left side.
4. Then click Connect existing domain at the top.
5. In the text field enter your domain name and click next.
6. Then click Verify connection.

The verification is in most cases instant but can take up to 24 hours to connect. If it is not connected right away, you can try to Verify Connection at a later time. If it is longer than 24 hours, contact us.
