An MX record directs the domain to a mail server.
To add an MX (Mail Exchanger) record, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account and go to DOMAINS > ACTIVE.
- Hover over the domain you want to configure and click on the Manage icon on the right.
- Click on EDIT DNS ZONE.
- Click on NEW RECORD.
- In the Type dropdown menu, select MX (Mail Exchanger).
- In the Host field, enter the host or subdomain. You can also use @ for the root domain.
- In the Mail Server field, enter the name of your mail server. (If the mail server is outside of the concerned domain, add a "." at the end of the server name.)
- Enter the priority value (acceptable range: 0 to 100).
- Click SAVE to add the record.
- Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your updates.
Note: DNS changes may take up to 24 hours to propagate throughout the Internet.
Important: This feature is only available if the domain is using our name servers.
