A CNAME record links a subdomain or host to a server name.
To add a CNAME record, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account and go to DOMAINS > ACTIVE.
- Hover over the relevant domain and click on the Manage icon on the right.
- Click on EDIT DNS ZONE.
- Click on NEW RECORD.
- In the Type dropdown menu, select CNAME (Canonical Name).
- Enter the host or subdomain in the Host field.
- Enter the server name in the Canonical Name field. If the server is outside the domain, add a “.” at the end of the server name (e.g., "server.example.com.").
- Click SAVE.
- Click SAVE CHANGES to apply the update.
Note: DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate throughout the Internet.
Important: This feature is only available if the domain is using our name servers.
