SSL certificates cannot be renewed; instead, a new issuance is required. Moreweb offers the following procedure to facilitate the issuance of your new SSL certificate.
- Log in to your account and navigate to PRODUCTS (Left Side Menu) > SSL.
- Find the MDC that needs renewal and click on the "Renew" icon on the right.
- Select one of the following options:
- Use the Previous CSR:
- Check this option to reuse the previous CSR.
- The SANs from the current certificate will be prefilled in the SAN field.
- Use a New CSR:
- Select "Manual Entry" and paste the new CSR into the field.
- Alternatively, choose "Upload Text File" to upload a CSR file.
- Click "GET SAN FROM CSR" to extract and add the SANs from the loaded CSR.
Note: This may overwrite the current SANs. If needed, copy your existing SAN list elsewhere for reference.
- Click on "VALIDATE CSR" to review the listed SANs. You can edit, modify, or change them as needed.
Note: The SANs included in the new certificate will be those visible in the SAN edition field after clicking "VALIDATE CSR."
If you edit the SANs again, be sure to click "VALIDATE CSR" once more. - Click on "ACTIVATE YOUR SSL CERTIFICATE" to finalize the process.
